Most Cut-to-Size orders received before noon are shipped the same day Monday-Saturday.

Cut to size orders are cut with table and CNC panel saws and have a cut tolerance of +/- 1/32". Plastic sheets have a thickness tolerance of +/- 10% and can have thickness variations throughout the sheet. Cut to size items cannot be returned for a refund or exchange.

Sheet sizes, colors, thicknesses and products available on our website are available at TAP Plastics stores.

Visit or contact your local TAP Plastics store where cut-to-size orders often take less than five minutes, start to finish.

Acrylite® Extruded Acrylic plastic sheets from TAP Plastics offer the strength and workability required for many DIY projects. Extruded acrylic is more affordable, malleable and impact-resistant than cast acrylic, making it a smart solution in general fabrication and a variety of applications. It’s made using a continuous manufacturing method that’s less likely to be contaminated by dirt or particulates and results in a more dimensionally stable final product.

Our extruded acrylic sheets are transparent, moisture-resistant and about half the weight of glass. Extruded acrylic is also clearer than glass and will not turn yellow after prolonged sun exposure because it resists ultraviolet light degradation. All clear acrylic sheeting is backed by a limited 10-year warranty against yellowing and loss of light transmission. If the plastic gets scratched, you can polish it back to the original optically clarity.

Uses for Extruded Plexiglass Sheets

Extruded plexiglass is easy to bend, cut, glue, polish and thermoform, making it ideal for greenhouse glazing, shed and garage window installation or indoor applications. Since extruded acrylic has a lower melting point than cast acrylic, it’s easier and more affordable to cut and form — yet still strong enough for most residential and commercial projects. It has excellent electrical resistance for wiring. Other customers have used extruded acrylic for trade show displays, skylights, transportation and even food processing. Is weather resistance the primary concern? Despite cold, heat, humidity and sunlight, our clear acrylic sheets maintain their original color and appearance.

If you’re looking for project ideas or fabrication advice, watch our series of acrylic plastic videos below. We have guides comparing cast vs. extruded acrylic and show how to cut acrylic, glue pieces, repair scratches and much more to help DIYers.
