Acrylic Sheet AR, also known as mar-resistant (MR) is a continuously manufactured acrylic sheet with an abrasion-resistant coating on one (AR1) or both (AR2) sides, offering 40 times greater resistance to marring and chemical attack than uncoated acrylic. It also provides outstanding optics. It can be used in applications such as Point of Purchase displays, kitchen backsplashes, wall signs and wayfinding, LCD screens, and framing. It resists ghosting, smearing, and staining. AR1 makes a great whiteboard or markerboard, as is or painted on the non-abrasion resistant side.

Acrylic AR is not recommended for heat bending. Since the AR coating is chemically resistant, it cannot be glued with acrylic cement. Glue only uncoated sides and edges.

AR1 is a great glass replacement for tables and countertops. Non-abrasion resistant side can be painted to create custom colors. AR2 is suitable for interior and exterior break-resistant windows.

Properties:
• excellent optical quality
• abrasion and chemical resistant
• can be cut, drilled and polished
• half the weight of glass
• many times the impact strength of glass.
