The recommended “Do-it-Yourself” procedure is to carefully slice away the old window only doing a quarter at a time leaving ¾” or so behind along the edges as a gluing surface. Then glue the new window with the VLP to the old vinyl. Work your way around the window letting the fixed areas dry before cutting more away. This way it will be easier to maintain the shape of the window.
