21st Century R-Temis

21st Century R-Temis
Norma Randazzo from Shelby, MI made this sculpture called 21st Century R-Temis. The sculpture was first modeled out of clay and then a plaster cast was made to form a mold. She poured expanding foam into the R-Temis mold. Norma had been curious to see if expanding foam would fill the crevices. The end result came out looking exactly like the clay form. Other products use to complete the art piece: polyester resins, acrylic rods, X-30 expanding foam, pigments, fiberglass cloth, and casting resin spray for hair and coat. She was very pleased with the end result. The sculpture just won an award in an art show in Grand Rapids, MI.
