B-17 Airplane Model Scene
Former TAP employee Matthew O'Connor recently entered this model in the Marin County Fair Model & Creature Competition. The model scene won first place as well as a special award during the event.
The water is acrylic, and the plane is fiberglass covered with epoxy resin. The engine covers are made of slush mold quik-cast, and the internal engines are of insta-cast castings. X-30 foam was used to create the hillside then covered with epoxy and sand as a base coat. The windows are made of acrylic, and the guns are made of styrene rod. Congratulations Matthew!
