Laser Acrylic Pattern

Laser Acrylic Pattern
We can't wait to show off TAP team member Jeffrey Sidlow's (from our Santa Rosa store) skill and design! He creates these detailed patterns on an iPad and then converts that photo file into a .dxf file. The laser cutter knows where to cut from this file, and Jeff uses either 1/8th inch or 3/16th-inch acrylic. "After that," he says, "it's a waiting game." Each piece takes between 20 minutes to 2 hours to cut depending on the thickness of the plastic and the intricacy of his designs.
