Machine Shop Signs: Green = Up, Red = Down
Gary Souza of GE Infrastructure Systems needed to make signs that let their employees know if machines are working correctly or not. He went to our TAP Fremont store to create these signs. The holders for the signs were made of 1/8" black acrylic and were put together using TAP Acrylic Cement.
The dimensions of the pockets are 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" for the "Green Up" Indicator and 3 1/2" x 2 1/2" for the "Red Down" indicator. The green and red signs were made of 1/16" engraving stock and the words "Up," and "Down" were laser engraved. Gary was so impressed with the effectiveness and visibility of the signs; he ordered 120 pieces for all the machines in the company.
