TAP Plastics is excited to offer this green alternative to standard acrylic and plexiglass, Chemcast® EcoGreen Recycled Acrylic (plexiglass), the new environmentally friendly cell cast acrylic sheet produced with 100% recycled materials. This product eliminates tons of waste per year by using both pre and post consumer waste, repurposing the scraps that are available and creating sheets made from recycled plastic.
From Advanced Acrylic Recycling Technology
Acrylic plastic is not easily recycled, but recent technological advancements have made plexiglass recycling a reality. Chemcast® EcoGreen acrylic recycling production starts by collecting the acrylic scraps generated from domestic fabricators and customers as well as from post-consumer waste. The recycled monomer methyl methacrylate is obtained by a de-polymerization process that recovers liquid monomer from PMMA.

Fabricating With Clear Recycled Acrylic
Our recycled acrylic sheets fabricate and perform just like standard virgin synthetic acrylics. CNC router and laser cutting, solvent and polymerizable bonding, thermoforming, polishing, and more can be done just as with any standard acrylic sheet.
